We are kind of reeling and scratching our collective heads here in Alexandria.

Four workmanlike wins and a tough loss to Bellevue on the road, with the fourth win being a 34-0 defensive domination over Nicholas County had us thinking we were on the improve and ready to successfully take on all remaining comers in Class A, District 5.

Somewhere en-route to Ludlow we took the off ramp on the road to success and have taken two sizable losses in succession, as a result of being outscored 53-13 in the second halves, and now find ourselves 4-3 heading to Paris on Friday night.

Missed tackles, bad luck, and inconsistent play has led to our recent demise.

It is of paramount importance that we put four quarters of quality football together, on both sides of the ball, and on special teams, if we are to compete with Paris on Friday night.

I'm sure the close encounter with Nicholas County will serve to properly focus the Greyhounds who can win the district outright with a win over the Mustangs at Blanton Collier Stadium on Friday.

No predictions from this corner, just a fervent hope that we once again find ourselves and compete and represent to the best of our abilities.

Unfortunately, Bracken controlled/dominated both lines of scrimmage and game planned Donnelly out of what Brossart does best. Paris will try to mimic this approach. Mustangs will have to be their best to compete at Blanton Collier Stadium.

Tossup game. Kind of depends on which team shows up for both. Could see Brossart leading at the half and then trying to hold on in the second half.

Starters Eric Johnson & Marcus Ashford did not play against Nicholas County but will be back for Bishop Brossart. Should be a good, hard fought game. Looking forward to it.

Greyhounds healthy going into Friday night. Don't be surprised by a blowout.

How is Bishop Brossart's offensive line & defensive line? Paris seems to have more size with quickness and depth on the line this year.
