1A #5 Raceland at 4A #6 Ashland Predictions

Raceland and Ashland have had some great games in recent years. Over the last five years: Raceland held a three game winning streak, and Ashland currently holds a two game winning streak. This year both teams will rely on a strong OL/DL, this game will match up solid line play and the winner in the trenches will win the game. Ashland has a new, talented, backfield. Raceland returns almost all their skill players with a strong receiving corp and good backfield. Defense may be the difference.

Who wins and why?

I think Ashland may win the turnover battle, I'll go with them for that reason.

Thanks John, every time we beat Ashland it's a tall order, but it has been done and here's to hoping it happens this year. This should be a great game, something that many causal fans may not realize when they solely base the outcome on class size. Wish you could make it, it would be a great game to attend.

Actually Ashland has won 3 in a row.

44-7 in 2010
58-12 in 2011

A little quiet out of the Raceland gang. That tells me this is a cross your fingers and hope for the best outlook in Ram camp. Good luck to the Rams!!

I would think it would be a tall order for Raceland to win this one but win or lose it will make them better in the long run

In 1A I always pull for Raceland and Hazard. I hope they can pull this one off but Ashland is just too much for them. Good luck Rams, prove me wrong.

Well, there are only about three of the Ram fans left that post. So, me and sidelinedoc are a two man show at this point. I have my fingers crossed, but I think this game may surprise many people.

That's exactly right TP, this is a win win situation for Raceland, like Mayfield last week, we play a high caliber team and will get better for the district and playoff games. That's the whole point of the non-district schedule.
