Hazard is banged up. Reece Fletcher played last week but isn’t 100%, Isaiah Stupart will be put a few more weeks as he didn’t play last week against Harlan County. Hazard by 3 scores

@Bac2369, it feels like Hazard is in no man's land to start the season. And they'll be stuck there for at least another week, before they play Somerset. I'm fairly confident that they could handle anyone outside the top 5 in 1A, but I'm not sure how they stack up against the teams ahead of them.

This senior class and junior class is a talented bunch. As 7th and 8th graders they beat Pikeville by a couple scores. High school is different though because many factors change on how kids develop and you never know what will be added or took away.

I think the offense is ahead of were it was last year and that’s a good sign. The defense will be just as good but not sure as good as last year. But hopefully no injuries or no more.

I'm eager to see them against a quality opponent. Paintsville has an opportunity to show us something this weekend. We just have to wait a little longer with Hazard. Then maybe we can get a better idea of how the 1A puzzle might fit together this year.
