I do think Simon Kenton can maybe score some on Trinity but I don't see any way the Pioneers can stop the Shamrocks offense. I would like to see someone really challenge Trinity but don't see it happening this season unless it would be St.X.
This. If Shearer is on target, SK can pass on Trinity, which may yield a few points for the Neers. Can SK's defense stop Trinity? That's very unlikely. If the Neers are to pull off an upset, they'll have to outshoot them.

The Camels didn't have a KO return TD. One score was against Trinity's starting defense and the other was against their #2's.

SK is a one loss team in the state quarter finals. They have won two games in the playoffs. Don't take them lightly.

I can't speak for specific games but the additional 2 officials will be a field judge and a side judge located on the sideline(s) at the same depth as the back judge. Those 2 officials generally help on pass coverage and red zone coverage of goal lines/sidelines/back line of end zone. On running plays, since the linesmen/ line judge don't have to cover as much, more focus can be on sweep blocking infractions and longer runs with downfield blocking. Most crews have already done at least one game working with 7 officials earlier this season. To give an illustration of the mechanics, generally lets say the play call is a jet sweep. the Referee will have the ball carrier until the ball crosses the Line of scrimmage while the linesman will have the initial blocking. Once the ball crosses the LOS, then the linesman takes the ball carrier for 10/15 yards and marks forward progress/fumbles ,etc. The side judge/field judge should be able to help the referee with blocking. Once the ball carrier breaks loose then the side judge/filed judge has the ball carrier until the end zone. This all changes closer to the end zone and will be discussed in pregame. Side judges and field judges have different keys( positions to focus on) on pass plays based on formation so it helps on pick plays/rub routes. There are only 24 games this weekend so you can rest assured the best 168 officials will be working because alot of the 3rd round officials will work the finals too. Normally you don't do the 3rd, 4th , and 5th round-rather maybe 1-3-5 or 2-5th but with the 7 man crew, I think you'll see alot of the best this weekend.

As misguided as I think FootballForever74 is at times when it comes to SK, I'd take that guy as a booster for my team any time. Sorry brother, just not as confident on the Pioneers as you are. Shamrocks take this one.

I respect his unwavering support, it's refreshing in a way. It can be grating sometimes, but heaven knows I can be to a number of people too.

Dual threat Shearer is also a bulldozer running the ball. At 6'4 210 pounds he flatten several Ballard defenders last week.

I agree with you FF74 but I just don't see him accomplishing that against Trinity's front 7. Not a knock on Shearer but more of an endorsement of how nasty Trinity's run defense is.

I don't think T gas seen a qb as good as Shearer. Interesting fact Shearer and Bohn both have offers from Morehead State.

Trinity > CovCath > Ryle > Simon Kenton

This game is a mismatch from the first whistle, I don't understand the logic behind anyone trying to make a case the other way. If you are going to simply be pulling for YOUR team, all good, I love that! However, if you are trying to make a case that you're going to win in a game so obviously lopsided, you're going to need a mountain of empirical evidence to convince me, and it very obviously doesn't exist. Just go with the "Let's Shock the World" mantra, at least it is battle-tested.

I'm told that SK has more team speed than the typical NKY 6A representative.

Cracking up. Ryle is greater than SK baesd on one game? They play 10 times SK wins 9. They would wear out CovCath to many kids playing both ways. Trinity bring them on.

I did not see a lot of team speed from SK the only night that I saw them live.
