#3 St. Xavier vs. #8 Butler (6A Quarterfinal)

The Tigers and Bears play for the Region 3 title on Paul M. Young Field this Friday night. This is a rematch of their October 20 game won by St. Xavier 37-0. The margin may not be as large but the result will be the same. We'll have to see if St. Xavier running back Moretti is done for the year with a shoulder injury. This could affect the margin of victory.

Let me submit that Butler improved by 37 points differential versus regular season game vs Male and the playoff game win.

I love a good upset. Butler is playing really well right now, a phenomenal two week performance. Unfortunately, i think the Bears will hit a wall this week. While i agree theyve improved since the last matchup, X has as well. Lower score, I'll say:
    X-27
    Butler- 15

The Bears made a nice run...MADE, as in past tense. A great season for a really good football team comes to an end for Butler Friday.

X's offensive depth is really being tested which means they'll really lean on their OL. It'll be close in the first half, but X's advantage at the LOS will take over late in the game. X wins a close game 29-14.

I'd love to see Butler keep winning, just because potentially beating #4, #3, #2, and #1 to win a state championship would be an awesome story/accomplishment (even if it isn't likely to happen). I think St. X is probably too much, though.

St X will most likely win this one, but the Bears have shown some true grit this season. Tigers by 14+...

If this game is at Butler on their muddy field I will go with them.

I think the Tigers still name the score.
