$60 Million High School Football Stadium

This Is What A $60 Million High School Football Stadium Looks Like
The old 14,000-seater apparently wasn't big enough anymore, which is mind-boggling to someone whose 3,000-student high school didn't even have a home field. Allen faced some criticism as the stadium was built in the midst of shrinking funding and an education budget shortfall. But the cash came straight from residents, in the form of a 2009 bond measure that passed with 63 percent—and also included funding for a performing arts center.
Here is a slide show of pictures...

Very nice.
There appear to be 8 buildings in this complex, a football field, bleachers, tower with pressboxes, and 2 luxury boxes.
Field including excavating $2million
Bleachers....I dunno lets say another $2million
Tower with pressers, lets say crazy money $5million
2 luxury boxes...$1million
That's roughly $10million
So the 8 buildings around the stadium cost $50million???
Seems like somebody got PAID on this deal, and the good folks of are paying the bill.

I wonder what their regular season attendance is? I'm guessing they'll host playoff games. I know their are a ton of bis stadiums in Texas but it seems like many are for multiple teams within on school district.

Is that a Dallas school district? If so, they may have more students in the district than we do in the whole state.

Unless things have changed Allen is not in the Dallas School district. It is actually north of Dallas.
Welcome to TEXAS!
The other thing I forgot to mention is in Texas the school districts (most of them) share a stadium. There could up to 4 - 5 high schools sharing the stadium. JV & Varsity kids play at the high school but the Varsity teams play at the district stadium. It does not look like this stadium is for a school system but when you see these big stadiums in Texas, for the most part they are being shared amongst the schools.

Allen is just north of Dallas past Plano (which also has a huge stadium). memyselfandi is right. I played high school football in Garland, TX (Dallas County), and there were 5 high schools at that time that basically shared two stadiums. Imagine if Lexington schools all shared one or two stadiums. I'd say there would be plenty of money to build a fairly large one...

I heard they have a pretty good shot at getting Super Bowl 50.
