    Trinity 2 Highlands 1

Great game to watch in Louisville tonight. I felt like Highlands took the battle to Trinity in this one. Trinty scored in the first 4 minutes and led 1-0 at the half. Highlands tied it 1-1 in the second on a goal by Joe Broering. Trinity with the winner on a corner kick with 10 mx left. Caught Highlands off guard as the defense wasn't quite ready. Much better than their output verses Campbell Co. and St. Henry this week. Seems like early in the season we are playing to our competition.

No matter how solid Trinity is, they just can not get over the hump to win state in soccer. One year they were an overwhelming favorite to win, and went out very early.
Have they ever won state in soccer ? Every time they have gotten to the state soccer finales recently they have lost. With all the great coaches the Rocks have had, and all their great players, you would think they would dominate in soccer like they do in football.

The 98 team was one of the best high school teams I ever saw in KY. Similar to a couple of the St. X teams in the 2000s who dominated, their bench could have competed for state.
