State Tournament Draw

Tough draw for the 9th having to beat what will likely be two top 5 teams just to get to the semis.

1st and 14th have a top 5 team?

Meant to get to the finals. If the 9th can beat that 7th winner I think they will be in the semis. .

I love the state tournament. Been going almost every year since it 1979. The only years I've missed since then is a couple of years due to illness in the family and the years it was held in Louisville.
Watch the games in Rupp then head back to the room after dinner to watch NCAA games on TV. Doesn't get any better than that.

Perry Central is the favorite to win my region, the 14th, but Hazard has just raised the bar a little with the addition of a kid from Oneida Baptist who was averaging 24 ppg for the Mountaineers. He got eligible about two weeks ago. I think the Bulldogs are 3-0 since he joined the team. In an overtime win vs Sheldon Clark I heard he had 3 dunks and had 15 points coming off the bench. He had 22 in a game vs Estill. He is a 6'3 guard name Frazier.
Hazard plays at Perry Central tonight and I'm going to the game. Should be interesting.

That's why I hate tournament draws. You could perhaps have top two teams playou in round 1. Ridiculous!

How else can you do it? This way you know what region and possible opponents. I know there are computer polls but those are debated on their accuracy.

Better than seeing the top 2 teams playing in the opening round. Other states do computer rankings. It can be done.

It can be done but people will still complain about the seedings. (See the LIT threads every year when the field is shown with seedings done by a computer.) The complaint then is that the computer formula is flawed.
