When I first watched this play I thought the foul call was on the shot. After realizing that #5 is Slone and he didnít have an offensive player within 5 feet of him, idk what the ref thought he saw! Absolutely terrible!!

I've seen a lot of bad calls this year. But this is the absolute WORST.

At some point referees have to be held responsible. He should have to answer for this! This is as bad as it gets!! It makes me so angry.

The ref called the foul on #1 but mistook the jersey for #5, right? That should have been corrected by somebody.

I hate it for the entire team and coaches. I know they had higher expectations for this yearís team but you canít win them all.

Much love from me always to the coaching staff. Steve Adams, Dennie Webb, Brian Britt, Jeremy Britt and my dude Darryl Adams. Iíll miss you guys and thanks for everything. Iíll always appreciate everything you guys have done and tried to teach Baby J. Love you guys always!

To Bryce Slone, my guy, my dude...keep your head up. Thereís no doubt in my mind that you will be successful in whatever you choose to do in life. Iím grateful to have gotten to know you and your family very well over these last 4 years. You are welcome to travel with us anywhere at anytime. Our doors are always open for you. Iíll miss watching you play but I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you. Love you Bryce!!!

To Will Bramel, Big Willie Style!!!! Your footwork has always been special and I knew that from the first time I watched you play in the 8th grade. Iím so happy that those feet got you to Purdue University to play for Jeff Brohm. Know that my family will be watching you closely and look forward to seeing you out there on Saturday afternoons doing your thing!!! Iím grateful to know you and your family as well and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you.

To Reese Smith and Grant Hotchkiss...this is your team now and I know the team and program is in good hands with you two as leaders. It has been a true pleasure to watch you both grow from freshmen to sophomores and now juniors. You both have the talent and potential to pick up the pieces and finish the job. I also look forward to watching you both on the track, on the diamond and on the gridiron. You guys are the future and I am glad to have been able to witness the both of you play. Keep shining!

To Baby J, well crap, not the finish that I know you wanted but Son I am so proud of you. Iíve been your biggest fan and your biggest critic and you made me eat all of my words this season. You had an outstanding year this season and I loved every minute of it watching you grow as a player. Iíll always cherish the time we have spent on the courts all throughout the state as you played the one game that you loved. Like I told you, it has been such a fun ride. I knew the day would come where we would embrace after a game and that there would probably be tears shed. Neither of us expected it to be tonight but life happens like that. I know much bigger things are in store for you going forward and I know that you know I am there for you every step of the way. Thank you for all the joy you have given me watching you perform on the basketball court. The memories I have of you on the court are memories I will cherish for forever. This chapter is closed and now it is time for us to make new memories in life. I love you Son. Itís been an amazing ride watching you play.
I hope that I am as eloquent when my son finishes his run next season. Your last line says it all. I couldn't say it any better.

The foul was on number 5 in white? What did he do, hold his hand up too high? Maybe I didn't see it right.

Haven't written on this site in a while, don't know PP92 or his son ... but 7x70 likes to this post and to this father. I'm drink a coffee or a bourbon with him anytime, I'd gladly listen to him talk about basketball or anything, and judging from what he's written here after a devastating loss, I'd take advice from him as well.

I want to publicly thank him for this example of how it should be done.

It is one of my greatest joys in life watching my son play. I do know that our time will soon come however. Congrats to you and Baby J on a great season....more than that, I know you have raised a wonderful little boy into a wonderful young man.

Exactly. As I told PP92, as my son comes to the end of his high school career (next year); I hope that my words convey the love and emotion that his words have. Not just to his son but to the other kids. They might not be his kids but they know how he feels about them. There is no doubt about that. Truly an awesome post.

I hope they don't use the same referee again. He should have to answer period!!!!
