This is definitely, odd. I mean, it's not skin off my back, but a ring for an All A region title is... meh.

I think its a great honor for these kids and for their school system. However the district decides to honor their kids should be respected and not have shots thrown at them on a message board. Congrats to Robertson County and to Coach Kelsch!

It’s a big deal to small schools to win their first regional basketball title in a statewide tournament. Small county schools such as Robertson County are most likely not going to win the KHSAA regional title. Owsley County Owls, where I’m from, have won the 14th region All A 4 times, and although rings weren’t bought for the players they did make a big deal out of all 4 championships with a police and fire truck escort from the county line to the high school gym in Booneville where everyone met to celebrate.
I’m not saying small county school systems can’t ever win the KHSAA region ( Buckhorn has won 3 titles and Owsley Co has been runner-up twice) but it is definitely a long shot and these championships mean quite a lot to the school and fans. There’s nothing odd about it.

The rings look black in the picture, but actually are ruby when the light hits it the right way

Good for them! There are colleges that get rings for winning their conference, wouldn't that be equal to winning a regional championship? Congrats Robertson Co.

Each school should decide how big the accomplishment is to them. I believe it is a first for their school. Therefore, it is special. I support the rings whole heartedly.

Robertson County has a good chance of winning the All A the next few years as well. More rings?

Why didn't Coach Kelsch get rings when he won All A Region at Bracken County?
