That's awesome that you were able to confirm this.

That would be one worth hearing again... I wonder if they have a recording of it?

I can kick myself for not attending this game, but I sure did get a kick out of listening to it just like when I was a kid.

Some of my best childhood basketball memories are from radio broadcasts.

For example Simon Kenton's run through the Sweet 16 was some serious goose bump listening that I'll never forget. I can still picture being in my kitchen back home when they were announced the 1981 State Champs.

Frisch's parking lot in my car in 1981. Great memory.

I literally have a lump in my throat thinking about it, and I'd give anything to be able to listen to all 4 of those games again.

I found the update thread for the 4 Overtime 2011 9th Region Final between Dixie and NewCath...

In post #43 I answered @Lucky Charms question about where to listen.

    It was 1160 AM

@Walter gave updates until the 3rd quarter and then in post #45 requested that somebody take over since there was a broadcast.

I started updating in the 3rd and both @Walter and I continued until the end of the game.

Ben's a NewCath grad and does a great job for all NKY. This year he might be webcasting the 9th Region Softball Tourney.....if we can work out the details.

Next year when the Mustangs come to the Carothers Road Hill you are in.
Just remind me. If TAC is in, we can do a three-way - broadcast, of course.

My mission in life is to do the color at a CBU game. The front row seats intrigue me

I love the broadcasts that Mustang, Mark Wehry and Terry Niehsus do for their respective schools.

I remember being interviewed in HS after games by Dale McMillan, Gary Ball and Don "one man wrecking crew" Weber. In fact I still have a double cassette tape of a 1986 Bellevue vs Dayton Football game broadcasted by Dale Mcmillan. Great memories of all those guys. Kevin Rengering and Randy Wilson were great to listen to as well in the 90's.

Who remembers the Ball Report on Saturday mornings? Great show that came on around noon.
