Why not mix in a handful of games with area rivals?
And I'm not a PC hater, I actually like Belcher a lot. Just questioning some games on a schedule. Are those three schools "rivals"? Maybe replace one of them with Simon Kenton.

Nobody in their right mind is going to blame a late January Monday night win over Calvary Christian if Pendleton loses in the first round of the 10th Region tournament.

They have also played Scott with Campbell County and Paris coming up. The schedule is fine.

Meanwhile back to the game, Mason Rusch from Calvary is a fine young player. He is perhaps the best kept secret in the tenth region. He shredded the PC defense time and again and it mattered not what defense was being played. He will be a joy to watch the next two years.

The coolest part of Cody Sullivan's record breaking performance was how hard his teammates worked setting screens to free him for #10. Plus his teammates on the bench were going wild. I love this group of Wildcats. They wear that "County Pride" t-shirt well.

Please do your homework before you make obscure posts. Pendleton County plays every team in their region except Silver Grove (the worst team). On an average year, Pendleton is middle of the pack in the 10th Region as far as location, enrollment and boys basketball talent.

The old coaches adage is you play 1/3 of your schedule against opponents better than you. You play 1/3 of your schedule against opponents the same as you. And you play 1/3 of your schedule against opponents weaker than you. In my opinion, they should play Calvary Christian every year. In 2-3 years when PC is really down it will be a more competitive game.

Pendleton and Calvary should play every season because they are regional opponents. Itís not like Pendleton is a Louisville Ballard contending for a state championship every season. Pendleton Co. did not beat Calvary 96-23. They won 96-71 and it took one kid to make 10 3ís to do that.

This season for PC is the best from a record standpoint (17-5) since 2006 when they went 28-4. At a County school talent comes in waves. And besides, Pendleton only beat Calvary last night by 25 points while Allen only played half the game and had 16 points.

To say Coach Belcher plays a weak schedule is ridiculous. Heís the guy traveling all over the state of Kentucky to play anybody and everybody to prepare his team for postseason. I know for a fact that they were the first commitment to the LexCath tournament a year ago. He added a road game at Newport Catholic 2 weeks ago. I think it was his first year as head coach (when Pendleton was bad) they signed a 2 year contract with Scott County and got blown out both times. Itís not like heís afraid to play teams or heís going to schedule a weak opponent to win 25 games a year. (Pendleton hasnít won 20 games in 12 years).

Pendleton should play Augusta every year. They were in the same district from 1959-1996.

Cody better be icing his arm down today after shooting 20 treys! LOL 50% is a great % from behind the arc. Congrats to him and the team for letting someone other than Allen get some props. Nice to know they have other weapons.

They have about 7 or 8 games with this type of score - why question only the Calvary Christian game? Is it OK that they played St. Henry when they won by 32?

They tried to add some better games via the holiday tournaments. But if you have agreements with teams, you can't just back out of those or it comes back to bite you in the long run.
Apples and oranges here. St Hank usually has a fairly competitive team, while some of these teams has not been competitive in years. Will this type of games next year hurt Mr. Allen in the hunt for Mr. Basketball ?
