    Open Job: Pendleton County

With Coach Belcher taking over at Ryle, who are the likely candidates for the Pendleton County job?

So, Belcher was notified Sunday morning that he gets the Ryle position and then notifies PC he is gone?

My question was, did this all transpire on a Sunday morning?

Could have transpired on Friday afternoon and they were waiting to make the announcements on Monday.

I get it that Sunday is usually a "day of rest", as it were, but let's not act like no school administrators ever work on weekends.

I know I've had job interviews and have received job offers over weekends. Why is it so hard to think of that happening in a school job?

Coach Cox was an assistant at Pendleton but never applied for the head coaching position there.

I was told he applied when Belcher was hired, hard to believe, but I must have got some bad information, LOL.

Do they hire within or open it up to someone from the outside? A lot of PC people in the know on this board. What are your thoughts?

What's this say when PC couldn't keep Belcher happy? Is he jumping off a sinking ship?

That's not how this went down.

Is Belcher trying to move closer to Cincinnati for personal reasons?

You really seem hung up on the Sunday thing. Belcher's departure has been verified all over the place. The job is posted with the KHSAA. What's the big issue regarding when the word got out about it?

Here’s why it matters. Players found out who their coach was or that their coach was leaving or both from social media. It shouldn’t be done that way. Belcher or Ryle got it wrong on it getting out this way.
