You have39 posts and probably everyone is bashing Coach Starns. Sound like you have an agenda. All of your eggs in your basket seems to be cracked. Coach Starnes is a fine Coach and would do an excellent job if hired.

Happy for Coach Gellispie. I can't imagine going through what they went through losing a child and still functioning at a pretty high level. I think most 1st region fans would agree they underachieved this year, especially coming down the stretch. 2 region titles in 13 years would be ok with a lot of teams in the 1st but probably not Marshall. I've heard rumors the current AD may be in line. They have a pretty stout class of 2020 seniors that I think includes his son.

Yes, his son is part of that class and it is very talented.

Pretty quite down here on this job. I don't think they got as many applicants as they thought they would get.

Sweet16, I am not sure where they posted the job. I know it wasnt posted on the KHSAA until a few days ago. I think they must have felt that people would be beating down Stoke's Lovett's and Waggoner's door to apply. However after the way Gillespie was treated, the line must not have been that big, or the person they just knew would take it turned them down. Looks like something is awry in Marshal Land!

I heard last week that Birdsong is not interested. That is a real shock if he does not apply.

Tic....Toc....Tic....Toc..... What is going on with this job? It seems strange that it has been open for 6 weeks and nothing seems to be happening....Is there more to this? Does the AD want the job? Birdsong turn it down? Not enough good applicants?

I am going out on a thin limb and predicting the new coach will be Kerry Stovall.
