Open Job: Holmes

Holmes basketball has a lot of pride and to think that this is not an attractive job people are nave or foolish because it won't be long before this team is competitive again. I'm just thankful they made the mistake they did a couple of hires ago and didn't get another local coach
    Indeed

And your point is? Yep, HHS went to the regional finals 3/4 years in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 (the span in which they didn't hire said coach) and made it to Rupp once only to lose game 2. And yes, said coach, who is an alumi and probably would have crawled to Covington to coach his alma-mater is one of the best coaches in the State and started his program from nothing has made it to the regional finals once but surely had a better run in Rupp than the coach that was hired in that same time frame. And for the record, said coach is in his 10th season not 11th and I would say there are many schools that I bet would love to have that coach right now...
It's all good. HHS will make a really good hire I am sure.

1)He would connected well with the kid because he grew up in that environment at Green Hills and Notre Dame.
2)Watched him run his aau program years ago and was outstanding with inner city kids.
3)He brings professionalism and class to Holmes and help kids graduate and develop life skills( very successful business man now)
    4) His five years as Scott Ruthsatz top assistant he helped lead Cov Cath to 149-25 recorded.
    5) Developed many kids to get college scholarships
    6) Help lead Cov Cath to a State Championship and a final 4 appearance in 5 years.
    7) Coach Ruthsatz was out a game due to a Family obligation, he lead Cov Cath to a win against Scott. You could see how well he interacted with the players.
Seems to be a no brainer to me!
What is going on here, first your in the Carr camp, now the Fredrick camp. I hope once the season is over Holmes makes a quick hire, you're wearing me out.

Point number 3, what exactly are you trying to say, our kids graduate, many with very high grades and move on to be very successful, Coach Listerman had a person checking grades weekly and made sure they were doing the right things. As a former Holmes Alumni I think our school, program and kids have class.

Who are you thinking will be in the running to fill your alma mater’s opening?

Coach Carr, he is in the building and a alumni, but if he is hired, he will be the first Holmes alumni to be a boys varsity head coach, as far back as I can remember and that starts with the original Bulldog, Coach Ellis. But my money is on Brad to take over with Coach Grammer an outside shot.
