He loves structure and kids with absolute respect and buy in to what he is preaching. Dont think he would get that down at Holmes. Plus as stated before his son is at CCH so I dont think he would even entertain the offer.

I believe Joe Frederick would be the best for fit for this position.
1)He would connected well with the kid because he grew up in that environment at Green Hills and Notre Dame.
2)Watched him run his aau program years ago and was outstanding with inner city kids.
3)He brings professionalism and class to Holmes and help kids graduate and develop life skills( very successful business man now)
    4) His five years as Scott Ruthsatz top assistant he helped lead Cov Cath to 149-25 recorded.
    5) Developed many kids to get college scholarships
    6) Help lead Cov Cath to a State Championship and a final 4 appearance in 5 years.
    7) Coach Ruthsatz was out a game due to a Family obligation, he lead Cov Cath to a win against Scott. You could see how well he interacted with the players.
Seems to be a no brainer to me!

Wait, wait, wait, wait....you're going to tell me that Greenhills, Ohio....88% white, $55,691 median household income, 11.1% poverty rate Greenhills, Ohio is similar to the environment that the Holmes basketball players are growing up in in Covington, Kentucky?

Whatever the environment Fredrick would be an excellent candidate for any high school head coach position. He should be on Holmes short list if he has interest in the job.

Don't get me wrong, Joe Fredrick is a great assistant coach. I don't really doubt that he'd be a great head coach either. But I think the idea that a great coach can excel in any environment they find themselves in is patently false.

I was only talking about Fredrick and not every coach. I believe Fredrick would do a a very good job at Holmes if given the opportunity. He would command respect from day 1 and that is big deal in my opinion.

I don’t see Joe ending up at Holmes. Not a good fit

Agreed. Among other things, I don't see him leaving his day job...first and foremost.

Brad Carr would be a home run hire for the Dogs.

Joe would be better at Holmes than he even is at Cov Cath. You clearly do not know his background. As I do!

I'm not interested in getting into a pointless debate here...but I've known Joe's parents for well over 20 years. I've known his boys for over a decade. I count that for something.

Feel free to continue with all the proclamations you want about him. I didn't realize Joe needed a fan club or had taken on any apostles.

I think that unless your name is Joe Fredrick no one knows exactly. People are too quick to "assume" they know what someone may or may not be thinking. Holmes will be back as a threat at some point. Do they need the right coach, absolutely. Coach Listerman did a good job but obviously he was at the tail end of his career. Holmes basketball has a lot of pride and to think that this is not an attractive job people are nave or foolish because it won't be long before this team is competitive again. I'm just thankful they made the mistake they did a couple of hires ago and didn't get another local coach
