I'll say it again... Bellarmine is getting a STEAL in Ben Weyer. Outstanding player, and an even better kid.

Not sure in Lex Christian usually shoots that poorly or not from long range, but man they sure threw up some ugly bricks in this game, and from watching them shoot it sure doesn't seem that many of them would go in at any time, anywhere. So I'm inclined to say Lex Christian probably isn't a very good shooting team from 3. They had a couple of nice players, but just not enough to stay with the Breds. Very good team ball by NCC, and I absolutely love the way Weyer passes the ball and looks for the open man.

On the flip side...and maybe this is because I'm old school...but man am I the only one on the planet that thinks Weyer needs to touch the ball in the paint a WHOLE lot more. I don't think he did once in the 2nd half, and outside of an offensive rebound I don't remember many touches in the paint in the first half either. I mean they go several positions in a row without their best player touching the ball in a scoring position. I know it's hard to nit pick on a 21 point win, but it's also not the first time I have noticed this.

I had watched LCA earlier this year; thought they'd give NCC a good game. The early 13-0 start was killer.

Both bigs, Weyer & Tre King (LCA) played well, somewhat offsetting each other. The difference was NCC's quicker, better ball handling and shooting guard play.

Hall with 25 and 19 in back to back games...they get that kind of production out of him going forward, Breds aren't losing too many games.

I was real happy to see John Ludwig knock down the 3-balls today, just the shot in the arm he needs.

Pleased to meet you, too. BigVMan23. I haven't met very many BGP members since I've been a member in 2004. Met Lawnboy here last year and have met a few at the Sweet 16s at Rupp over the years. Always nice to meet a member.
