Newport 69 Pendleton County 66 (Scrimmage)

Here's one that took place earlier this evening at Newport High School that we like to hear about.

Tahj Harding and UK Signee Dontaie Allen go at it under game conditions.

    Someone fill us in.

Competing against each other. Two blue-chippers going head to head.

Dang..wish I had known about this scrimmage. Anxious to see how Harding has matured since last year, and will probably only have a couple of chances to see Allen play this season. Sounds like these guys came to play, and did not disappoint.

It's a little hard to get excited about PC other than Mr. Allen. Yeah, Allen is the real deal. The Harding kid has really bulked up, he will be a load for some teams this year. If Snapp can keep this team hungry and they can shoot the like they did at times against PC, this team will make some noise this winter.

If Wildcats can stay focused 4 quarters & not argue amongst each other they could play with anyone on their schedule. Need a floor leader to come forth. Cov Cath/ Campbell Co/ Lex Cath &Cooper will be big test for them. They have potential to be a team to watch this season in the 9th.

I keep hearing about all the talent this Newport team has... but no one mentions them with the top 2 teams in the region... can they compete with Cooper & CCH or not?

Do they appear to be arguing & fighting with each other on the court?

Let me look in my crystal ball, who really knows as the season has yet to begin. On a given night maybe yes or maybe no.

My thoughts on that subject would be a no.

3, 3-year starters, with skills. This team should really be #1 preseason for that reason only.
