In 11 seasons O'Hearn had a record of 260-85. Winning the district 8 times, the region 4 times and a state title back in 2008. State semifinalist in 2010. O'Hearn is the second winningest coach in Mason County history.

Coach Chris O'Hearn is one of the classiest individuals both on and off the court that I've had the privilege to know. Will certainly miss seeing him on the sidelines.

This job is certainly one with a lot of prestige and good popcorn.

Best of luck to Coach O'Hearn in his new position.

Interesting. That list of applicants would be nice to see.

How does this impact the Athletic Director position?

    Applicants I would see are:

    Hinson - Augusta
Biggs - Former Ashland and Pendleton Head Coach, former Mason Co asst
Allen Jr. - Madison Central, Alum
    Willie Fieldhaus - Alum
Dave Henley - Eastern Head Coach - Connections to current superintendent at Mason
Jason Booher - Former Holmes Head Coach, Current AD, connections to current superintendent at Mason
Brad Cox - Current Mason Co assistant last 5 years.

Help me out here! Why does a person like Ethan Faulkner continually get mentioned for big time jobs. Isn't he only 24 and has zero Head Coaching experience.

Other than Dave Henley, these are the names I would expect to come up. And the only reason I don't expect Dave Henley is because I have no idea who he is.

That's a pretty strong list. Can we agree that MC is a better job than Ashland?
