Mason County 62 Montgomery County 57
Final from the 10th region.

Mason built a 13 point 3rd quarter lead only to have Montgomery tie it late. Mason holds on for the win, congrats to them.

Sounded like the Indians had a couple of chances to tie the game with a few seconds left, but the late 3s didn't fall.
Congrats to Montgomery County on a nice season. Congrats also to Mason County for overcoming that dreaded home-court advantage and gutting out the win.

I still say Montgomery got progressively worse as the season went along.

Mason County ran much better stuff than did Montgomery. O'Hearn picked them apart. Indians press gave Royals problems allowing them to come back.
Prewitt 24-11, I was thinking he was having a tough night. I like Handshoe's game.
Black is certainly a presence for Mason County.

What about the technical on Josh Harris for throwing up the "3 goggles"? I've seen players at all levels do that this year, and never seen someone get hit with a T. Interesting time for the first one.

Montgomery missed 5 FT's on the technical attemps. And missed at least 4 others in the 2nd half that I can remember. That surely didnt help them. It seemed at times that no one (with the exception of Prewitt) was willing to shoot the ball.
Thought the Technical on Harris was bogus.

Maybe the officials don't see too many made 3-pointers in the 16th.

Thought the T on Harris was a horrible call. The missed free throws hurt. I have said it before and still think there was a chemistry issue on this team and I don't think it was just with the coach.

So, Mason County is the favorite 2 out of every 4 years by the home court thought? So, I guess O'Hearn was in over his head last year when Clark County won.
From what I was told, Wise's resume includes over 200 wins, two Final 4 appearances while coaching in Florida and 21 wins last year at Frankfort -- a school that won 23 combined the 3 years before that.
I am guessing you must know Coach Wise and have a personal vendetta against him or know someone you felt should have gotten the job when Griesser left. Keep in mind, he took over a team that was 15-15 last year and 47-43 over the last 3 years. I understand some people felt Montgomery was the favorite going into the season, but those same people had Pendleton No. 2 and Clark 6 or 7. Oops, it was obviously all wrong this year.
