Mason Co 69 Scott 48
Game back and forth early on, final score doesn't show how close the game was. Refs called close to 60 fouls, completely absurd.
Middleton and Setty each had around 15 I believe.
Mason County will play St Xavier tomorrow afternoon at the NKU arena.
Scott will play Cincinnati Moeller tomorrow I believe, also at the NKU arena.

Congrats Royals,Very impressive road win considering how much foul trouble Mason was in all night and the fact Russ Middleton has the flu and is very under the weather.

Danny mentioned that he has been sick for a while, they are hoping to get some tests back soon. Possibly mono, gutty effort by him tonight and if he plays within himself and looks for others, like he has been doing, the team plays better.

Great job Mason County. I would think that Scott can take a lot away from this game. For 3Q's, they proved they could play with anyone in the 10th. I expect that what they learned from this game will better prepare them for later than onyone would expect

My take from the game. For 3 quarters and a third Scott showed they can play with anyone. Middleton is a flat out stud everytime he got a oppurtunity he took advantage. If Scott wants to Compete with the top teams in the 10th, they have to limit turnovers and make foul shots. They were 17-31 from the foul line and had 20+ turnovers. Good game from Mason.

The demise of Mason County has been greatly exaggerated. That is all.

Not surprised that MC won, but surprised they blew it open the way they did and won by 21 AT Scott. Nice win for the Royals heading in to a tough match up tomorrow with X.

Nice road win for the Royals

Good job by the Royals on breaking open a close game and winning going away.

Mason County seems to be playing better on the road than at home; having to turn around and play a physical Cincy St. X team early afternoon will be a real test.

Back from the Broadcast
8th Region last week, 10th tonight.
Just got back from the game myself. Scott can play, but missing the front end of 1 and 1's will not help you when Mason County scores two off of those misses. Sueprised that Coach Carr doesn't have them shooting FT's even now.
Very impressed with Middleton, Downing and Setty for Mason. The second half belonged to Middleton. If not for the early foul trouble, it may have made it worse. Murray, Hiller for Scott and Keylo Jones off the bench also looked good. "Kola" to me really wasn't a factor in this one. He will have to become more of a presence as the season goes on.
I'm working up the game audio and pictures from the game. You know where to go to get it all. If not, PM me.

I would hope that either a)the mono thing is just a rumor or b)that the MC coach is not that thick-headed to play a kid who MIGHT be pretty sick.

I doubt he would have been cleared from the Dr. if he had mono, that's pretty doubtful IMO
