I did not see this one coming. Congratulations to the Crimson.

I really think Cooper coming back ruined Waggener's chemistry. They're a completely different team with him.

In the last 5-6 years, is Waggener the most underachieving team around?

I'll do something I don't normally do and defend Waggener. I believe that lost one of their starters to an injury in the district championship game. They didn't have a lot of depth to start with.

That would be a yes, but the 7th region is a bear, and sometimes the bear eats you. Coach Just will X and O you to death, and looking at this score shows me that he controlled the tempo and made it his style. Good luck Crimson's moving forward.

Congrats to my alma mater. By the way, the Manual Crimsons are commonly incorrectly referred to as "The Crimson" or "The Manual Crimson". Even our own fans or PA announcer will get this wrong at times. Sorry, but wearing the jersey will do this to you!

The use of the singular number all started with the Stanford Cardinal, I think.

With the talent they had recently, they seem to can't get the job done. Coaching is more likely the issue as they should be in the same position as Fern Creek right now (Climbing to the top).

Waggener sold out to aau three years ago. Good to see the veteran coaches that run programs the right way win. Waggener has been a revolving door with transfers.

This is the time of year that you see the quality of coaching. Just is a great coach at Manual and his kids play hard and buy into what it takes to win.

It seems like more schools are selling out that way. Seems like there's AAU "ties" to a lot of teams.

Yes initial success but not always sustained. Those kids expect instant gratification and success. When it doesn't happen they blame the coach and transfer. Coach Schooler has done a good job holding his together despite losing Trey Hill who came in with the Spiece Gators. Did pick up Chance Hill to replace. Waggener was the 7th region favorite last year before Cooper left for Prep school.
