I can't imagine a situation where it would go to Memorial. No parking, right in the middle of classes for multiple days, and that building, despite the sentimentality of many, isn't really a good place to watch games compared to others around the state.

How about Alltech Arena at the Horsepark? Don't have to compete with collegiate schedules, parking is no issue and remains in central part of state.

It's not really much further east than Lexington or Richmond. All are right on I-75.

How long does it take you to get to BG? It's probably 90 minutes to Corbin from BG.

How long does it take you to get to Lex? Richmond?

Seems like that place would be awful dusty after a bit. It gets that way during wrestling state.

So it's the same time/distance to Corbin. Not too far east.

For most, it's just that Corbin is not Lexington. Just like BG is not Lex, L'ville is not Lex, Richmond is not Lex, NKU is not Lex, etc.

    NKU is 6 hours.

Everybody acts like BG is too far.

Those sound like "by bus" times while the Lex time you quoted sounded like "by car."
