Defending tournament champ Lexington Catholic blew it open in the second half and won81-58. Knights senior star Vee Sanford had 17 points despite sitting out the first half with a sore knee. Aaron Watts, who had 34 points in McCreary’s first-round win, had 22 against the Knights.
UK Coach Billy Gillispie has a front-row seat, presumably to watch LexCath’s Vee Sanford. Sanford sat out the first half with tendinitis in his right knee, but the Knights were still able to build a 39-28 halftime lead. Sanford is seeing action in the second half.

I didn't expect McCreary to win this, but I expected it to be a little closer.

This team is still very young in experience. They will consistently get better.
