Mercer is way overrated haven't played anybody. Lafayette has been yop 5 all season until lately with sum tough 11th Region games. Mercer hasn't been rested Lafayette on the other hand has. MERCER looks slow. Guards, beat repeatedly to the rim. Also can't keep up Lafayette guards quicker and switched paced up on them with Jaelin Jenkins controlling the pace along with Chris Wharton. Jajuante Carpenter killed all night ended with 20. Harrison Lane shot like the old Harrison and ended with 21. If u listen I think he hit another one.Good luck Mercer in the 12th. They are no match for any one in the 11th let alone the 43rd district. We were not impressed. Especially with the hype. If they play Dunbar they would get beat by 30. Not enough athletesAdvertisement

Anchor hey lafayette did get beat by LCA by 22 last wk without starter TJ Downey and after beating LCA two previous tikes this season. LCA was orimmed for a victory and it goes to show you that it's hard to beat a good team 3 tikes in one season. Carry on. I can tell you are subjective to MERCER and their weak schedule.

Look at Lafayette's schedule vs Mercer's. Lafayetes losses 2 vs #1 Dunbar 1 vs LCA(mind you Lafayette has beaten LCA twice this season and when LCA did get a win Lafayette was without key player TJ Downey) Loss to Lexington Catholic after beating them already once. Loss to Pulaski Southwestern in "Their" own tournament over Xmas. Loss to a much improved Henry Clay team(top 3 in state). Loss to a Canton McKinley team in Ohio that your Mercer team wouldn't even be competitive with. No Mercer wouldn't be in the top or middle of the 11th even with the transfers. They are "TOO SLOW" and again would be "Exposed" in the 11th. The likes of Scott Co Henry Clay Lafayette and #1 Dunbar would issue astwady pounding. I think Faulkner is you alls best athlete every one else was getting beat off the dribble. I saw these teams over summer MERCER won on a last second shot by Faulkner but was den most of game by 12-14pts.Last edited by PurplePride92; Feb 8, 16 at 08:36 AM. Reason: Rule 5

Gunslinger you are right the #1 team in the state Dunbar has the best shot of coming out of awaaay tougher 11th then 12th region you all only have two teams that are any good. Good luck to you all if you make it to Rupp but trust me any team that comes out Tue 11th is going to 30piece you all the first game. Lafayette Dunbar Henry Clay you are better pack 2 or 3 lunches

Maybe Anchor1 is subjective to Mercer's schedule. That possibility had not crossed my mind.

I was there and I applaud Coach Mendenhall for pulling Lane, Watkins, Ross Jenkins and Jaelin Jenkins all early in the game when they were completely ineffective and went with Greenup, Dreux, Carpenter and Powell in their place.
If I were a Lafayette fan going forward I would consider playing Jaelin Jenkins considerably less and letting JaJuante Carpenter and Eric Powell have his minutes. Those two combined for 34 points in the Mercer win. Really intrigued by Powell. I would think that he will be the go to scorer next year for the Generals.

Bengal1...enough already. You've made your point...however, you were nowhere to be found when your beloved Generals were losing by 31, 22, 7, and 29 so please don't be another Cam Newton and talk only when your favorite team wins...I've seen Lafayette play several times this season and who is this Jenkins kid you keep referring to? I had to look up his stats...according to your posts he is the best point guard in the 11th region. Does he even start?

Feb 8, 16, 09:33 AM #74I bet Bengal1 dabbed after the Mercer County game. Am I right?

I'm a Bengal why would I dab.Wireman u funny . In earlier posts if you have any where with all about Lafayette and the way they have played the starters were fine. Harrison Lane and Jaelin Jenkins have been effective all season long. They come out to rest and get back in to the action every game hasn't been theirs but if you look over the season I'd believe your views would change. Good touch point but not good at the same time. Jajuante Carpenter was a starter last season and is coming into form. Eric Powell has had spurts all season and will be one to reckon with the rest of the season. Looking at the stats on Jaelin Jenkins he seems to be their table setter at pg. His assist to turnover ratio would back that up. Harrison is a big time scorer his numbers would back that up. Ross Jenkins may be the best big in the 11th and has had down games but in this one played well. TJ Downey should be back and add some more spark. I think their starters know their role and okay it well. This answer your posts about me earlier in their losses. I can't chime in on all posts but I will on most.
