Knott County Central player a very good man defense. Whenever we would beat our man off the dribble, help side was in perfect position.

Beechwood could not get any offense by attacking the basket. That let Knott Central stay close to the 3 point shooters, mainly Draud. This game was a battle for the lead and control of the tempo. The team that got the lead was probably going to win. Knott County came out at the start of the second half and grabbed control of the game. Beechwood was not able to make the back to back plays on both ends of the floor to tighten the game back up. The lead then expanded from 10 to the final score as the Tigers took chances and fouled.

Knott County is a very strong, athletic and fundamentally sound team. They look like a team of football players. I won't be surprised if they give Lexington Christian more of a battle than most expect.

Congratulations to the Tigers on the regional win and the tournament run. It was a lot of fun. The Beechwood fans did a great job supporting the Tigers at state.

Beechwood sold out all of their student tickets for both games plus tons of adults. Th team played out of character against Knott Co. Sad ending for Ben Toebbe who controlled the game on both ends against a very good Newport team in the 9th Region final. That kid has a huge heart. Tigers also have a very good Junior class and Scotty Draud coming back next year. The future is bright for Beechwood basketball.

Depressing loss. But the season is not over. FOcus on beating Holy Cross and with a lucky coin flip we have a chance to go to NKU.

Knott was very physical with Draud and he had some trouble dealing with it. That's tough for a freshman, but learning from it will make him better. He's got a bright future.

Great win for Knott. They will have a tough time with LCA, but it's been a strong run so far.
