Newport handed that over at the end. Turnovers and missed free throws.
I’d like to see a replay of the last play to see if the refs swallowed their whistles. There looked to be a lot of contact.

Story of Newport’s season. Lack of consistency is a killer.

Zimmerman was flattened by Burries on the 3 attempt.

The last play was in lots of traffic.

There was contact but the Newport kid really leaned in looking for it.

Yes he was. That was another part of them giving it away.

Newport beat Holy Cross by 18 points about six weeks ago.

No surprise. Inconsistent teams are just that. Holy Cross is a solid team. I wouldn't even call this an upset. Two even teams.

Oh man, the "we get no respect" gang can't be thrilled. I disagree with Pops, I think this is an upset. Holy Cross is solid, no doubt, but Newport should have had enough to get this game.

Congrats to Coach Schrand and the boys -- happy for you Ryan.

    Coach Snapp didn’t complain.

Newport has the ball up 3 with 0:40 left. Then had the ball ip 1 with 0:25 left. What happened? Missed FTs?

I watched a clip of ending on Twitter. Clutch free throw shooting from HC and looked like a good no call at the end.
