But I'll reserve judgment until they play more competitive teams.

They had to or it wouldn't be a record under the KHSAA.

The thing Elliott does better than any team I've seen thus far is handle the ball, which includes how well they pass the ball. The wrong game plan for any team against EC is to apply full court pressure, because they will beat you with the dribble and the pass getting quality shot after quality shot. As a team they shoot the three better than anyone in the state.

Shoot better than Holmes? It's possible. EC can light it up, but Holmes can shoot the lights out as well. And if I were going to try to defend them the one player I work the hardest on containing/frustrating is Ethan Faulkner. The other players are nice, but I think he's what really makes their team go. He's a good leader, ball handler, passer, rebounder scorer. I think thats the way to go. You can't count on stopping Ferguson, because when he's on he will put it up and make it in an entire teams grill. That said, i think they can break the record. If for no other reason the 16th region seems to be playing at a faster pace, and I don't really know if anyone can play with them here anyways as its obviously one of the weakest regions in the state. Thats not taking anything away from EC they are no doubt a top 5 team statewide and a serious contender to play for it all on Saturday night in Rupp areana at the end of the season.

Don't get me wrong, 106 points a game is hard for anyone to do, but I bet a lot of teams could put those numbers up playing the schedule Elliot has played so far, just telling it like it is.

Can't really agree with you here. South Charleston has real talent and athletecism. They have two legit D1 players, and would be a top 10 team in KY IMO. Granted they had only played one game prior to the Elliott game, but EC straight up ran em out of the gym. There is no substitute for great shooting.

    You would lose that bet.

    Your statement is not true.

Lot of teams couldnt score 106 points a game vs no defense.

I would have to agree with you guys. I know the 16th is pretty weak this year, but it takes alot of talent and the right playing style to average 100+. Some teams would do it, but only a handful in the state of KY. EC is a top tier team.

I love watching Elliott Co. play when I get a chance and still don't think they can keep that average that high, but they will lead the state in scoring. I think some of you are selling some of the teams they play a little short. Take the average points allowed by the teams they have played minus the Elliott game: Morgan 45 ppg., West Carter 54 ppg., Lewis 66 ppg., and Boyd 68 ppg., I was to the undertsanding that Elliott was S. Charleston's 2nd game, so I didn't get their stats. What they have done so far is very impressive and could have been a whole lot more.

Alot of teams can't put up 106 points in 32 minutes of practice. I think this statement is way off base.

How is this statement way off base? so your telling me Holmes, Scott County, Bryan Station, Lexington Catholic, and so on couldn't put up 106 points against Morgan County, West Carter, Boyd County, and South Charleston?

There aren't alot of teams that can average 106 PPG in high school basketball and it doesn't matter whose on the schedule.
