I will say this those kids work their tails off at CovCath. Even after a 40-plus point win I bet there were players in the gym this morning shooting around before school started. It goes back to that word culture and they definitely have a winning culture add Covington Catholic.

Looks to be pretty much the way it has played out this year.

Correct and I heard he had a really good JV game.

The JV team seems to be the bright spot of the program right now. I wouldnt be too surprised to start seeing a couple of those kids moved up and playing Varsity after this coming weekend when the JV Tournament continues. I believe Highlands has Cooper on Sat at 1:30pm, a team they lost in OT to earlier in the year.

13 of the 19 Bird Turnovers were committed by Sr's according to the stat chart above.

I guess they could have all decided to go to the girls game as was mentioned above, but I am struggling to believe that was the case.
Students not going to away games is nothing new especially with the distance. I didn't see any CovCath students at the Campbell Co. game. It's really not a big deal.

Especially when they might feel like it will be a less than competitive game....or maybe they didnt want to hear the "Lets Play Football Chant?"

Have Highlands students ever traveled well for away basketball games? Even to Cchs... I don’t think this is new.

I'm with you. I can't remember the Bluebirds fans being big on away basketball games since around the late 90's when they were in contention and winning the 9th region.

The year that Ben Guidugli and Highlands came over, the game was a sell-out (posters on the windows and all), and Highlands had a full section of students. The cheering section banter that night, along with the game, was awesome!!

When the boy was playing 8 years ago, there was a decent size contingent of Highlands students that would come to the Cov Cath gym it seems for the games. I also thought there was one year when they showed up with a state championship trophy if I recall correctly. I am old but I thought that was Highlands and was not all that long ago. Maybe someone else remembers.
