CovCath earned a triple win tonight over the Cru, with the CovCath Frosh beating the St. Henry Frosh by a score of 43-22 behind B Schuh 14, Galvin 10 and Ballow 3 points. The JV Colonels won their game in OT by a score of 44-41 behind Schult 11, Tomlin 8 and Heppler 6.
The Varsity game was for all matters over at Half Time as CovCath just lite it up by scoring 46 1st half points vs. St. Henry 18.
CovCath was led by Hayden who just missed another double/double with 17 and 9 followed by Ruthsatz 15 and Pauly with 12.
CovCath shot a blistering 75% from behind the arch and 78% from the Free Throw line while shooting 48% from the floor.
The Crazies were indeed outstanding tonight and added a new twist to the game as just after the opening tip off the Crazies sang a Christmas Carol!
I guess it was a tribute to the Chamber Choir Club for winning the warm 98 contest. Great job Mr Guess and company!

This was just a total beatdown by covcath and it could of been a lot worse. They beat them up and down the court all night and were hitting their shots. Good job colonels.

I heard Cleves played really well again. Colonels need him to play a lot of roles this year.

For what's it's worth, I loved the play of my main man Zack Tolber. He was 2/5 from the floor with 4 Rebounds and an assist in his playing time tonight.....

Covington Catholic delivered first-year coach Scott Ruthsatz his first home victory Tuesday with a 65-39 win over St. Henry in Park Hills.
Ruthsatz, who moved from New Jersey to take the job, received productive efforts from son, Nick Ruthsatz, who scored 10 of his 15 points in the second quarter, and Ryan Hayden, who led all scorers with 17.
"I felt like I was on in the second quarter," said Nick Ruthsatz, the Colonels' point guard. "When they came down on me in the second half, I was able to find my teammates."

Cleves battled. He is one of the few who has any meat on his bones. Some key rebounds, some steals.Played physical, not many on team can do that.

Another fun game to watch.
In the first half, CovCath was going 100 mph.
There were a couple of fast breaks that I think the ball hit the floor once.
Hayden is really starting to play the middle and Ruthstaz had a couple more jaw dropping moves.

Congrats to the Colonels on the big win. I really like the style of play that Coach has brought to the team.
