Cooper is a very solid basketball team. They have size, shoot the ball well, defend and rebound and they're about 10 deep. A very, very tough out in the 9th region. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them at Rupp in March.

I saw where Mason County had not been held to 34 points since 1988. Congrats to Cooper.

Unofficially, O'Mara led Mason with 12. Shawn Johnson had 7 points & 11 boards.

Spent a most enjoyable evening in the company of Randy Parker watching the second half of Augusta-Dixie and then Mason-Cooper.

I'm no basketball expert but it seemed like Cooper imposed its will on Mason most of the game. Very little production from the Royals' guards. Game was close almost all the way Cooper made all the plays during the fourth quarter.

Congrats to the Jags on the win!

Cooper is going to be one of the best teams in the region defensively this year. Their depth allows them to do a lot of things and play a style that most teams can't.

I am curious who held them to 34 pts in 1988?

Mason was held to 34 points by the Maysville Bulldogs in the District tourney.

An enjoyable couple of games spent watching with former Augusta coach Robin Kelsch and Papa. Mrs. Papa's Christmas candy is excellent, especially the fudge.

And Papa is spot on concerning Cooper. A very good, well-coached squad.
