Can someone tell me about the final basket for Holmes that was waved off?

How did Holmes only score 39 points? Stall ball by cooper? Poor shooting? Good defense?
After the recent wins over HC and CCH, Holmes was bound to have a let down and I said this loss wouldn't surprise me.
Details would be appreciated.

Congrats to the Jags. You can't take anyone for granted. Holmes can look awesome and then not so good. My guess is they just got outplayed, out hustled, and shots didn't fall. An emotional week with two big wins does not make you regioanal champ. You gotta play the games.

Just kidding Walter. Thanks for stopping by the booth tonight.

Walter gives me a bad time on BGP's but then comes to the table to ask for a CovCath roster and stats, which of course I gave him....
Walter remember this, in each of the CovCath losses this season, CovCath losses have been against teams with big winning records but you lose to Cooper?

I appreciate your concern but I would be more worried about my own team in losing to Cooper, than in worrying about CovCath getting out of the 35th. I mean if you can lose to Cooper you can lose to Beechwood!

Cooper played good hard defense. Holmes got nothing inside. I think Holmes scored 14 points in the second half and maybe only 1 basket in the 4th period? Both teams missed a lot of foul shots in the second half. Holmes offense consisted of running around the perimiter and shooting a 3 or an off balance runner. Coston had 7 points in the first minute of the second half to give them 32, so they scored 7 points the last 15 minutes of the game. Clyde, there wasn't a basket called off toward the end, but Rice got called for what I guess was basket interference on a rebound that the shot was under the rim. Shot didn't go in or was even going in. Looked like a rebound/tip by rice. Cooper would of got posession anyway after Rice missed the tip. Knox didn't play the second half (injured?). Congrats to Cooper on the big win.

Wow!! Congrats to the Jags! Again--CONGRATS TO THE JAGS!!
I like that Holmes team. I will always have a special place in my heart for those frosh boys--Bolden, Covington and Potter.
But I am rooting for those 9th Region Teams above the "top 6". Glad the Jags could get it done. Kicking myself that I did not go to the game...
Cooper has a great, well coached program. WELL DONE!

Clyde, Cooper up by 2 , Holmes came down with sbout 11 sec left Rice missed a jumper from about 15 ft. Holmes had a opportunity with 2 put backs and the last one hit the bottom of the brace of the backboard. They called it out of bounds to Cooper.Holmes then fouled Collins to go to the other end with 1.6 left
