As a young head coach in the 1999-2000 season I always wanted to beat the big dogs. Coach Listerman was always nice to me and tried to help me as I learned to run a program. He was always a class act and treated me well. Good luck in your retirement Coach.

The sidelines will not be the same without Coach L. There is a lot of passion leaving the floor with that guy.

Gotcha. I was going from a combination of memory, yearbooks, and newspaper clippings...the newspaper clippings I had just had him as an "assistant" in those years.

Congratulations to Coach Listerman on an unbelievable career.
My earliest memories of high school basketball involve Coach Listerman while he was at Harrison Co.
Thanks for your time and dedication to Kentucky high school basketball.

Figured I would give this a bump to remind anyone interested that Coach L's retirement ceremony is tonight at Holmes.

@paNDA, if you're looking for something to do tonight, this would be a good game to hit up.

Coach is high on my list of favorite people! I first met Mike during his first tour at Cov Cath in the early ‘70s (see CWB’s picture from 1975 in post #22). He was (and is) incredibly bright, enthusiastic and kind; a gentleman in every sense of the word.

Congratulations on your retirement Coach. I hope this is a great night for you!
