Centralia (IL) 61 Paducah Tilghman 59

Tilghman couldn't hold on to a 4 point lead with around 40 seconds left and loses on a buzzer beating layup.

Centralia(Illinois) if I'm not mistaken is in the top 3 in 3A in Illinois and are among the all time high school leaders in wins.

Sure would have been nice to come away with the victory, but by no means a bad loss. Hopefully the schedule will get back to normal after 2 straight weeks of having multiple games cancelled.

Centralia is definitely one of the best 3A schools in Illinois. Jay would have been a big win for PT.

Carbondale has split their regular season matchups with Centralia. Each won at their home gym. That's a really good team Tilghman played tonight. Where was this game at?

I had no idea they were playing up there tonight. That would've been a tough decision between the Hopkinsville/Christian County game and this one. Any stats?

Trivia question: Which UK basketball player was from Centralia, Illinois? Hint-----it was between 1960 and 1990.

The game was originally between Marshall County and Centralia and Tilghman ended up filling in.

Some of the stats for Tilghman
    Rod Thomas 18 pts
    J.J. Reed 15 pts
    Jordan Harmon 10 pts

Micheal Laster led with 6 rebounds

As a team, they shot 22/40 for 55%
4/12 from 3 for 33% and 11/17 from the free throw line for 64.7%

Cliff Berger is who I came up with....and to clarify, yes, I definitely had to look that up. Lol.
I know my UK history pretty thoroughly, but that one definitely got me.

Has Tilghman struggled at the free throw line all year? It seems to me they've missed a log in the games I've watched.

My first thought was Dan Issel but I believe he was from Batavia.

Yes, outside of Thomas, we have struggled mightily at the line this year a lot of times.
