Did Newport play without those two players?

No Hollis, and Covington didn't play till 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter....I'm told.

    Impressive job considering this.

this Newport team at full strength can beat anybody in the region IMO.

You just don't know who will be there for each game for Newport.

Agree 100%.......However, I said it at the beginning of the year, this team is loaded with talent.......but they lack discipline (on and off the court).....and that's the biggest shame of it all.

I agree with you, this Newport team has talent. The lack of discipline reflects the leadership from the top to the bottom. Mullins has talent but that is all he has. I don't expect him to reach to the next level. Covington and Hollis are the same. The only hope for Hollis is that he is a sophomore and may mature after players like Mullins and Covington are gone. The bright spots on this team is Snapp and Davis; these two young men are student/athletes. If Coach Snapp had a full squad of players like Davis and Snapp, there would be no stopping them.

Those Cats could really be a Sleeper if they could get a full squad on the court and play disciplined hoops. Sigh...
