Agreed. I think Riley Bodner is underrated at Lincoln with his rim protection. I’m a big Sims fan from Southwestern as well.

You took the next two names off the list of bigs who got votes. Not many did. It is such a backcourt dominated region. There are going to be a lot of high scoring affairs.

I saw both Somerset and Lincoln play Saturday at Frederick Douglass. Could not really tell much about Somerset due to having I think 6 players still in football.
Lincoln Co. looked pretty good against a very good Henry Clay team. While they lost by 15 they have some really nice players and are well coached.

Sources tell me Bodner is coming off injury. Will he be ready to play the season opener? If he has big year with Smith Lincoln should be in the hunt. Hearing that Danville should be better than some expect.

Somerset plays Russell County tonight but will be without any of the football players. I'm guessing Somerset's game on Saturday vs Lincoln County will be canceled or rescheduled due to the Class 2A state football game at 1:00 Saturday.
Next Tuesday will be the battle of 3A and 2A when Somerset travels to Boyle County. Not sure if the football players from either school will be playing that game but if they do, hopefully they won't all foul out before halftime lol.

I think Mercer County will be a lot better than expected. They have some nice pieces they will just need to adjust to the pace at the varsity level.

Kaelin Drakeford had 46 & 10 for Mercer last night. I know he's not considered a top 10 player in the region. Does this move him to the top 30 LOL?

Drakeford is a good athlete. Him and Lewis are a nice combo. Mercer could get some teams attention this year.
