The Redhounds dropped an 87-70 decision to Mercer County Saturday after defeating the tints back in December, 83-68.

1. (tie) Knox Central (20-4, 8-1)
The Panthers are getting healthy at the right time, and have now won three straight games. They picked up an impressive 78-70 road win against Frederick Douglass and came back with a 78-59 win at home.

3. South Laurel (16-5, 9-2)
The Cardinals move back into the No. 3 spot with an impressive 68-59 win over crosstown foe North Laurel. The nine-point victory was South Laurelís 53rd against the Jaguars.

4. North Laurel (20-4, 8-3)
The Jaguars had a chance to solidify the No. 3 ranking, but fell to South Laurel for the second time this season by dropping a 68-59 decision. North Laurel is now 14-53 against its crosstown counter parts.

5. Harlan County (17-6, 10-3)
The Black Bearsí struggles since January continue. They are 5-5 during the 10-game span and are coming off a 72-66 loss to Pikeville.

6. Lynn Camp (18-3, 12-2)
The Wildcats have strung together three straight wins after dropping two straight games. Lynn Camp can claim the 51st Districtís top seed with a win over No. 1 Knox central today.


7. Bell County (16-5, 7-3)
The bobcats are winners of six straight and have a big game coming up at home on Thursday against No. 4 North Laurel.

8. Clay County (12-13, 7-5)
The Tigers just canít seem to get anything going. Theyíre once again one game under .500 by compiling a 4-6 record since the beginning of January.

9. Jackson County (14-8, 7-5)
The Generals look have survived a stretch that saw them go 3-5 by winning two games in a row, including a 59-58 win over Clay County.

10. Williamsburg (11-12, 7-9)
The Yellow Jackets are catching fire at the right time. Theyíve won three of their last four games and have a big game against Whitley County today. A win over the Colonels would assure Williamsburg the 50th Districtís No. 3 seed.

11. Whitley County (7-18, 2-10)
The Colonels just canít seem to get over the hump. Whitley County is 2-11 during its last 13 games.

12. Barbourville (11-12, 4-7)
The Tigers managed to snap a three-game losing skid with a 76-68 win over Breathitt County.

13. Oneida Baptist (10-9, 5-9)
The Mountaineers continue to be one of the more dangerous teams in the 13th Region. They are 5-1 during their last six games with their only loss coming to North Laurel (67-49).

14. Harlan (3-14, 2-9)
After starting the season 0-10, the Green Dragons are 3-4 during their last seven games, including wins over Pineville (55-52) and Middlesboro (74-69).

15. Middlesboro (10-13, 4-9)
The Yellow Jackets are another team thatís struggling currently. Theyíve dropped four of their last five games and two in a row, both district games to Harlan County (63-50) and Bell County (48-38).

16. Red Bird (7-15, 1-13)
After starting the season with a 3-4 record, the Cardinals are 4-11 during their last 15 games. Theyíve dropped three games in a row, including district losses to North Laurel (73-34) and Oneida Baptist (71-62).

17. Pineville (4-17, 1-12)
Itís been a long season for coach JD Strange and his Mountain Lions. Pineville has now dropped eight games in a row with its last win coming against Thomas Walker, Va. on Jan. 4.
