    Bishop Brossart 74 Boone County 58

    The Brossart Mustangs advance to the Henry County Holiday Tournament championship game on Saturday at 2:30pm where we will take on the state-ranked South Oldham Dragons.

    In the Semi-finals the Mustangs broke open a close contest early on in the fourth quarter going on a 13-0 run to draw off to the 74-58 win. With the win the Mustangs improve to 8-2 on the season with their seventh consecutive win.

    Senior Ethan Eilerman again led the Mustangs with 28 points. Juniors Stephen Verst put up 16, and Carson Schirmer 13. Sixth man, Senior Blayke Kremer came from off of the bench to knock down a trio of 3-pointers and took a pair of charges.

    Tate Hermann led ten Boone County Rebel scorers as the Rebels fall to 2-8 on the season.

    Boone has 3 wins, congrats to Mustangs, they are playing well, should be a dandy against South Oldham.

    Correct, they defeated Henry County here Thursday night for their third win.
    Boone played well also. I love the play of the sophomore point guard Cole Schumate.

    It's a good win @Mustang. I know the Rebels have a bad record, but whenever I've seen them play, they don't look that bad. They are aggressive.

    South Oldham would have to be favorites, that are solid with a Mr.Basketball candidate.
    Mustangs have done pretty much everything asked of them so far.
    This will be a stiff test, and we should learn a lot as to where we are against Top 20 competition right now.

    "Have their way" - I hope not.
