Crawford came close to honoring mr Walter Payton tonight. I think he honored Franco Harris instead but could be wrong.

Jaxxon Crawford can do it all. If we really are judging on ONE year, he's a definate candidate for POY.

It's not a lifetime achievement award.

I've been saying that all year. He has some off nights, but when he is on, hard to stop him.

Good job on the updates Vito Carleone. Just got home, poured a redwine and ready to share a few impressions. Brossart can flat play defense! These guys played man 90% of the time, and time and again pushed PC further and further out on the floor. PC settled for a ton of threes until mid-3rd qtr when they couldn't even get those off. Would suggest PC had at least 25 turnovers.

As expected Crawford had a big game. Really a nice player, top 6 in my POY. Allen had a few nice defense swats, but was largely neutralized offensively. Tonight his game was all AAU style, which surprised and troubled me. Three or four times he brought the ball up and tried to put on dribbling demonstrations. Each time a smaller PC guard, or his backside help would take it from him. This look-at-me demo was disappointing. his talent is unquestioned, but he is still a freshman.

I thought that we were good, and that Crawford was outstanding tonight.
His 31 included a trio of threes demonstrating his versatility. Most of his two's were not one-step, garden-variety big man baskets. He really had to work to execute some of the stuff he scored on tonight. Hats off to Coach Kevin Bundy who works with our bigs on a daily basis and puts guys like Crawford in a position to execute when the opportunity arises.
I also thought that Joey Hickman did a great job of posting his man and then working his tail end off until he'd get the basket to go. 12 points for Joey! Hickman is a WARRIOR.

How good was Logan Schultz tonight??? Both ends of the floor. Numerous steals, handled all of the pressure up top and scored double-figures to boot.

Mustangs got it to 17 at 54-37, but Pendleton County wouldn't go away.
Mason Dennie kept them right in it with 18 points on the night, and 8 in the fourth quarter.

First time I've seen Dontaie Allen, and I've got to keep telling myself that he's only a freshman, BUT in my opinion he wanted nothing to do with the defensive proceedings taking place tonight and mailed it in. But to even be out there competing as a natural freshman allows me to give him a pass.

The first quarter was fun for the spectators. Mustangs put up 20, PCo 16. The two teams knocked down four 3-bombs each.

    Mustangs JVs win 38-31.
Pendleton freshmen prevail 31-28 - I thought that PC's Cody Sullivan (20 pts) showed a ton of potential. With Brossart up 23-22, Sullivan laid a 7-0 run of his own on us (a pair of 3s and two FTs) to preserved the victory for the Cats.

Mustangs travel to NCC on Saturday for an NKAC D-II rivalry game with the Breds.

    Great job by both teams!
PC did a better job in the man to man defense then they did in the zone...
Crawford did a good job finding the open spots while Allen was up top... The kid gotta be at least top 7 player in the 10th.
Allen controlled the paint blocking a lot of shots from everyone's man...
Besides a couple turn overs at the start of the game, Allen did a great job! Not a lot of shots for the young man last night....
Pop corn was very warm last night on a side note lol
    Good luck to both teams

Great summary Mustang. Saw you pull your belt up in the crows nest when you stood for National Anthem. LOL

Saturday Could be a battle not to be missed between Crawford and Hickman against Weyer and Moeves. Intensity anticipated at its highest. Hope BB whips another 9th Region power.
