Wow, I look forward to hearing the details of this one. I would have thought it would have gone the other way. Congrats to Ashland.

Good, good win for the Cats. Really, some of the best defense I've seen in a while. They play with a lot of heart.

I must admit I'm very pleasantly surprised at the score of this game. Coach Howell seems to be doing a great job with the Tomcats.

I am as well. They are playing well. Their defense is really strong. They do need to quit making unforced turnovers. Christian can really get to the rim any time he wants. Impressive.

Greenup stayed in the press , way too long. Ashland broke it easy in 2nd half, and shot layup after layup. Greenup missed to many foul shoots, and rushed a few shots late in the game. Still think Greenup is the better team. Ashland`s coach did a nice job, and older Villers can get to the basket. Ashland did a nice job adjusting at half.

I thought the same thing about Greenup's press. Ashland probably had 12 points off breaking their press. Wireman is a tremendous shooter. He would just pull up in Villers' face and knock down shots. I remember him doing that on the freshman team when he was an 8th grader... Good kid. They did miss a lot of free throws. I know they needed to pressure the ball late in the game, but they did give up too many layups. Greenup will be fine. They have a very good team, Ashland just played a better game last night.

Huge win for the Tomcats! With such a young group and a coach that the kids seem to love, the future is looking up and up for the Tomcats.

Don't get me wrong, they will take some losses throughout the season, some games they probably shouldn't lose even. But it looks like they are capable of winning some they are not expected to win also. What a difference a year makes. Congrats guys!
