Final from Shelby Co. This was a big win for Anderson and a major disappointment for Spencer Co. congrats to coach Drury and the Bearcats.

Coach Burns has handled Anderson in the regular season but Drury has owned him in the post season.

AC survives and advances as they're famous for this time or yr. Another trip to the Roy awaits the 8th region POY, Cobe Penny. The young guns of Spencer will have to wait another yr but with their underclassmen should become regulars @ the Roy for the next few yrs. I can't wait to watch Conley next yr. His time is coming, Cobe's time is now.
On another note my preseason pick for the 8th has been upgraded from life support to critical!

Don’t have actual numbers but Gritton carried AC in first half and Pittman in the second half. Cobe Penny had an off night shooting and was in single digits. Gritton, who was shooting 40% from the line, nailed two FT for the final margin.

Spencer's only big guy got two fouls in first quarter--game over. Anderson needed a third person to step up. It was Pittman. He had over 20 points. Penny had 6 points I believe. Veteran team got it done.

I took a lot of flack from someone on this board before the season for saying that Spencer was still a year or two away. Well. They are. They have some talented young guys. But physical growth, and experience, matter more than talent in these postseason grinders. Spencer will be fun to watch next season.

Anderson didn't play particularly well, as a matter of fact played very sloppy at times, but they played HARD and played with a fire I had not seen from them this year. That was the difference for them tonight I thought.

A slight upset, perhaps, but hardly a surprising outcome.

As I've been saying all season, you simply cannot count out Glen Drury in the post-season.

Congrats to the Bears on another 20-win season. Kudos to Anderson for earning yet another trip to the Roy.

Very correct, keep hearing about their youth, but they will be gone before you know it.

Agreed, but they will definitely miss Coke.
