How can you be so sure? They choked to Harrison County last year. If you don't remember I believe last year's district title game was a 2 point game at halftime. No Bach, no Snapp. I'm telling you people Hinson is the X factor! I don't know if someone slipped something in the Fieldhouse popcorn or what.

Last yrs Mason team did beat this team for BC by 20+. BC lost one kid to graduation that played very limited minutes. So basically its the same team they had last season.

Are you looking at Bracken's wins and losses? I do not care how many points a player has, points are in the past with out a win. Bracken has beaten St. Pat. In the 39th district that is all. You have to win the district or be runner up to play in the regional first. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Your past dose not look that good!!!

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't Mason Co missed the bus to regional 2 of the past 3 seasons?

Hinson must be writing this comment or paying someone to write this stuff. Yes Hinson was the coach in Augusta, but I do not care who was coaching the Panthers the past few years they would have won these are young men had talent and the determination to win as a team. Hinson did not put that spirit in those young men. Hinson was just in the right place at the right time. If Bracken loses in the district again, I'm sure Bracken will be singing a different tune about Hinson. How many coaches have you buried in the last few years? You had one of the best grils coaches who took you to the regional almost every year then when the team lost he was gone. It is only a matter of time for Hinson too, unless he wins, but look out coach if you lose then the blue Kool- aid barrel will go dry and the criticism will start and it will be all his fault.

The key to Bracken winning against Mason is not the coach . It's up to the kids first they must believe in themselves and each other. Next show up with heart the effort and no quit attitude. If they are relying on Crawford to score 40 plus they will not win. Will take all of them. To compare them to the Augusta teams that beat mason county is not fair . They had one of the best players in tenth region had seen in a long time that had a motor that wouldn't stop and the will to win . Just didn't have role players around him had three amazing kids around him that never feared mason county always brought the effort and refuse to quit . Matter of fact these three kids have went on to accomplish so much for themselves and Augusta. Those boys may just might have one great story left in them and there isn't a coach in the region that wants to see their team up against them because what they are capable of doing. Hoosiers 2 in the making.

That's what Hinson gave them! Not that those kids didn't have it before. Hinson is a motivator, he made them better than they already were.

You people are so far up Jason Hinson's butt that it's ridiculous.

Hinson will be at Bracken for as long as he wants to be. He is a master motivator and should have been at Bracken a season ago but politics got in the way of that.

The girls coaching comments really need to be on the girls section of the site, but Kelsch wrote his own ending at Bracken. He resigned as coach, then took a job at RC. Don't really know what any of that has to do with this years 39th district tournament though.

What a silly statement. Bracken's coaches in the past were good coaches. Like I said before Bracken's tune will change about Hinson soon. Remember the players have a very big part in winning.

What I'm saying is: That Augusta team in 2014 was like a car. If you take one part out, no matter how small it loses its value. Bach was engine, the role players were other parts. Hinson was the driver. If you take out one of the role players the team doesn't run. If you take out the driver you won't go anywhere.

If it weren't for Brent Bach, Jason Hinson would not even be a conversation in this. Good grief.

Not true! Hinson did not make the boys who played for him at Augusta, they made Hinson!

Bracken county people are really drinking something I mean this team is barely above the .500 mark for the year. Look at the poll results they really believe but that makes it exciting. I understand the excitement because they played mason to the buzzer also played Augusta to the buzzer this season. It's been a long time since they have felt this way in Bracken county. If Crawford wants to write stories and hang banners this is the time . It looks as if the fans believe but do the players . Now is the time to earn the talk of superstar. Going to be exciting.

If you take out Darius Miller or Chris Lofton is there such a thing as Chris O'Hearn? Do you think they won because of coaching or those Mr Basketballs? Bach and Crawford aren't Mr. Basketball's, they are aren't even the best players in their region according to some.

You saw what happened last year when you have Austin and a bad coach. He has a good coach this year and basically the same team and they are now district contenders. Augusta has been blessed to have really good coaching for 10+ years to bring that program to where it is.
