After Mason beats GRC last night in OT at Winchester; and Panthers, very tired after upsetting West Carter late and participating in full Homecoming celebration and Dance to drive the two hour bus ride to beat GRC in Winchester 15 hours later by 14, it is hard not to start believing in the 39th's smallest team. Don't miss the Panthers 5 guard journey from the river to the Regional.

Bracken/Mason will be very close. Wouldn't be surprised if it came down to the last possession. If Hamilton is out, Crawford will need to have a Bach-esque performance to defeat the Royals. Home court advantage will also play a factor. I like BC by 2.
I don't think we will ever see another Bach performance like the Mason and Augusta district in 2014 that's a once in a life time performance. I'm not saying Crawford is not a decent player, but he is no Brent Bach, and never will be. Brent made his team mates better players. Look back at his games when he played the Panthers won. I just don't think scoring a lot of points makes a hero player. Brent Bach, knew there was five players on the floor, not just one. He knew to win it took all five. His teammates respected him, so did the coaches from other schools and so did the refs. He played to win not just to score. It takes more then just scoring to be a outstanding ball player. You can score 40 or 50 points a game but when you lose, the points do not matter. I'm an old ball player from the early 70's and I played on a winning team and have only seen a few players like Bach and Loften, Miller, Fieldhouse, and a few others. Those guys knew how to score, play team ball and win with dignity and be humble about it.

So this is implying Crawford does not make his teammates better, doesn't play team ball, and isn't humble like the guys you mentioned above

How many 1000 pt scorers was on this team of Bachs, in my opinion those guys made him better. Can remember him scoring 6pts in district championship and they still won. In case you all have forgot those 6'1 guards are still winning today. They were already good players.

No Crawford is a good player. But if someone is going to compare a player with another there should be a fair comparison. There will never be games like the Mason and Augusta games of 2012, 2013 and 2014. They all made Basketball history and the Bach kid played all three games with other wonderful ball players. Us old guys at barber shops and restaurants still talk about watching those games the 2014 game was the best. I have never seen anyone play like Bach did except Loften. I'm a big Mason Fan but maybe Bracken will also make history and Crawford will carry Bracken on his back like Bach carried Augusta. There was no harm meant. Good luck to Crawford and Bracken.

We are still yet to see what happens when Crawford gets shutdown, because it's impossible.

As I recall listening to the radio interviews and newspaper interviews the Bach kid always said it was his teammates.

He was referring to when Hinson coached those Augusta teams.

That's what good players always say. But anybody that watched him play knows he was the straw that stirred the drink.

Good coach gets the best out of his players took an Augusta team with one superstar and a bunch of role players and made a deep run at region and two district championships. Took over a team with a superstar and better role players at Bracken so id say his chances are pretty damn good at even more continued success
