2011-12 NKY Regional Basketball Contest Week 8 Results

Here are the results for this contest. As always, the results won't be final for 24 hours. All contestants should use that time to check their score for errors. After that time period has passed, the contest is final and the winner should use the following link to claim the prize of choice. If you think your score is incorrect, please send me a PM and I will look into your claim.

In all seriousness, I've had a blast running this contest. Finding games that I think will be really close and/or have upset potential has been a lot of fun. And the couple of folks that I've teased a bit have been great sports.

Mcpapa, it is not easy getting and tabulating results for these contests so thanks for doing it. You are and have been a great asset to BGP's.

^ Running just one contest isn't all that big a deal - just enough work to make it interesting but not a chore - and helps me keep tabs on the NKY sports scene.

Now, those folks that run multiple contests in different sports, sometimes all year round; they're the ones that deserve a pat on the back.

I agree! I had a great time participating, and was fortunate enough to get lucky once in this one. Thanks again mcpapa

Just when I thought I had a handle on this contest stuff, it came to my attention that I - mcpapa - made an error in the Week 8 scoring. bluenation12 scored 18 points - not 15 - and has 80 cumulative points (provided that I didn't mess up more than once). My spreadsheet has been updated and the Week 9 results will reflect the correction.

    Sheepishly yours,

    mcpapa

^ This is the third sign of the apocalypse that I've seen firsthand. First was several years ago in WalMart, where a person directly ahead of me in line used a charge card to purchase water. Second was just days ago, when Randy Parker won a basketball contest. Now this.

I'm stocking up on powdered milk and tinned meat for my survival stash even as we speak.
