Underdog Ohio Co Looks to Compete for 3rd Region Title

Its been 34 years since Ohio Co made it to the state tournament, but this years squad has their eyes set on doing just that...winning the 3rd Region and heading to the Sweet Sixteen in Lexington. They have a tough road ahead of them despite their talent and blu-collar work ethic.

The 3rd Region has 6 teams with 20 plus wins, and if its pitching you want to see then look no further. There are several D-1 pitchers and position players in this region. Ohio Co is a hard-nosed, never-say-die scrappy team. Led by 4 college-signed seniors, this group is still an underdog to powerful Meade Co and Apollo.

That's not to mention other really tough teams in the region. Davies's Co, Owensboro Catholic, and Grayson Co have all been on a tear leading up to next weeks district tournament. So...we will see what happens. One thing is for certain....whoever plays Ohio Co will be tested and better come with their "A" game.

    Good luck Eagles....finish strong!!
