Nov 10, 05, 09:14 AM #136Katrina, I would like to commend you on your post. It's true that a lot of posters will say that this player is the best or that player is the best. And it's true that the 14th has a lot of talent. Leslie is a very good team. They could be tops this upcoming season. I really like your comment about proving it on the field. You can be called the best all day long. But, if you don't prove it on the field, you can't be called the best.
So who is the best player in the 14th? I am not going to say because I don't get to see a lot of games and I can't really say who is. The games that I do see, I see some great plays by players who aren't called the best in these threads. And I see great plays by those who are. I really get tired of reading post by so called experts who say that that one player is the best and continue to do so. I tend to take more credibility with those that give a top ten or a top five. Strike3, earle, and mr. umpire are great examples of posters with crediblity. If someone is going to declare a player as the best, back it up. Tell us why. I think that you have done that with Hendrix.
Hendrix is a class act. He sounds like he works hard. I really hope that he can go to a real good D1 program. He deserves to.
This best debate is giving me an idea about something that I will post in another thread.Advertisement

I think there are a lot of good players in the 14th. I do believe that there are 7 or 8 players that can really be great if they live up to the hype, but that is why we still play the game. i will be excited to see what players really step up and go to the next level. With the exception of Powell losing 5 players and PCC losing Combs most of the higher quality players are returning to their prospective teams so it will be fun to watch who comes to the top as individuals. I don't think there is a top 10 team in the region that doesn't have at least one player that can be the #1 when all is said and done.
