    Covington Catholic 2 Scott 1

CovCath 2 Scott 1 as CovCath used the pitching of Arnzen (W) and Tomlin (SV), the fielding of Severson and the bat of Schreiver to beat an outstanding pitching effort by Scott Sophomore Ray Everett.

CovCath improves to 16-1 with the victory tonight and next play Ryle in the Doc Morris Wooden Bat Tourney at 11am at Scott HS.

Much to late to post anything else...

Note* The catch in the 4th inning by Severson was an outstanding effort, as Corey made an diving catch to rob a base hit and possibly a double from the Scott hitter Best. The next Scott batter Stamper hit a double which would have easily scored a runner from 1st or 2nd but then Pike struck out and Lankheit picked off Stamper at second 2-6 to end the inning

BTW Clyde was correct in his statement the other day that Tom Arnzen will be attending TMC and playing baseball for Coach Jeff Hetzer, at TME he will join two other former CovCath players in Darner and Nutini!

    Congrats TA!

Congrats to Tommy! I did think, however, that he would go bigger than TMC.

While I agree with you as far as Baseball goes, in TA case, think Academics, think close to home where his Dad can come to each game!

For TA, it's a great fit and TMC plays some pretty good Division III College Baseball!

As I said previously, Arnzen is making a case for POY consideration.

Disagree Clyde. There are two or three that are making a better case IMO.

Two very good players. Great high school players.

I'd say Tom's year is right there with those two. Killed it on the mound and at the plate.
