This surprises me a little as I thought Ryle was a better hitting team. Has Boone locked up the #1 seed for the 33rd? I know they beat Cooper and Conner but not sure if the Conner game was the seed game.

No i believe the Ryle, Conner seed game will be played sometime in May but not to sure. Im sure Cooperstown should know. But if Ryle beats Conner Boone and Ryle will tie for the #1 Seed.

Boone deserved to the win tonight. They played very well. They hit Ryle's starter Donovan hard. Deno pitched well for the Rebels and got the win. Laumann pitched a nice couple innings to close it out.

Boone indeed locked up the #1 seed in the district with tonight's win. Game wasn't really even as close as score indicated IMO. Of Ryle's 3 runs, 2 were very, very fortunate - first run came about on a bad hop triple and last run scored on a bases loaded popup in which the Boone 2Bman caught the ball in shallow CF (umpires mistakenly failed to call infield fly), but then collided with the incoming CF'er. Boone was without question the better team tonight. Both Deno and Laumann did a nice job. I do hope Ryle gets the chance to play them again, though. Of course, in order to do that, Ryle will now have to beat Conner in the district tournament (and Boone beat Cooper).

This will be a hard task for both teams. The 33rd district is extremely tough. This is only the third game that I have seen this year with Boone Co. Defensively, they as well as Ryle, are very good. The district tournament will be fun games to watch. Congratulations to Boone for achieving the number one seed.
