Let em see if I can help you out marley ....

ThePirate will say - Bertke is no good. He got lucky on that play at SS against NCC. I heard he pulled his hamstring on that play. He can't play defense. The Tigers are lucky. They are only good at baseball because of football. Brossart will win easily.

So, who's throwing for each. I'm sure Bertke will for the Tigers since it looks as if they haven't played a game since NCC game. Does Brossart throw Fardo or Norton or someone else? Did either pitch against NCC on Monday?

Neither Fardo or Norton threw Monday night against NCC. However, Brossart has a district seeding game against Campbell County tonight (4/21) so I assume that one of these two (Fardo or Norton) will throw tonight. In the Brossart coaches minds, I'm not sure which game is more important, Campbell County tonight (arch rival and district foe - plus the added incentive of going against a previous assistant coach) or Beechwood tomorrow (All 'A' sectional). Tough decisions - that's why they get paid the big bucks.

I am predicting a Beechwood win. They have a solid program going up there.

I've only seen Brossart a couple of times but it seems to me they have several pitchers that are very close in ability (all good). Beechwood has one on their team above the rest in Bertke. I think it comes down to if Brossart can hit Bertke or atleast scratch out 5-6 runs. Beechwood has been finding ways to win as Myeroff has pushed the right buttons. Should be a good one.

I agree Bertke needs to be strong tfor Beechwood to stay in the game and try to scratch out a win. But Colin Johnson has been doing a pretty good job as the #2. He came in after Bertke against NCC and pitched two good innings to get the win.

Come on Pirate, I'm waiting to hear how bad the coaching and players are for Beechwood, time is running out. I'll go with the bad coaching and the kid who can't pitch or hit and surely can't play the infield, good luck to both teams.

My guess is ThePirate is tired of Bertke and Beechwood making him look silly so he is going to wait till after this game, hope Brossart wins and then post some mocking comment.

Beechwood will throw Bertke and Bishop Brossart will throw Greis.

After seeing the Campbell County game last night - Brossart will start with Travis Norton and David Greis will come in relief. It should be a good game and I can't wait until this evening. Good luck to both teams.

If you are coming to the game.....park in the lot in front of the new construction. (The regular parking lot) Walk in front of the school. Enter the double doors of the high school, then straight back that hallway and out the back double doors to the baseball gate. Construction around here is making it interesting, to say the least. It will all be good in the end. Until then, thought I'd post how to get to the field to save some aggravation.
Good Luck to both teams. Should be a perfect day for some baseball.
