    Beechwood 5, Holy Cross 2 - End 2

Indians add one on as Cam Carl scores from third on an errant Beechwood throw.

Inning ends with a bit of controversy after Tigers 1b Doverspike recovers errant throw and fires a strike to 3b Hutton who appeared to tag out the Indian runner attempting to take third. Umpire called the runner safe but then the call was changed after umpires conferred. Muchhhh to the chagrin of the Indian faithful.

Clinching the #1 seed in the district tournament, right? So they would draw Holmes in the first round of next weeks district tournament?

That would be the correct way to state it. Pardon my guffaw. It was hot at Meinken.
